A meal-prepping man has been defended online for deciding to no longer make homemade lunches for his wife upon realizing that she often ends up throwing them away—uneaten.
The newly married 26-year-old man and original poster (OP), writing under the Reddit username WifeCantWontDontCook, said this week that he has been “super into” meal prep since he graduated high school.
Packed Lunches
The husband said that he does all the couple’s food shopping and pays for almost all of their groceries. He cooks dishes—from stews to burrito kits—every few days to portion out and he made sure to pack food for his wife to take to work.
That changed, however, not long after his 25-year-old spouse—who he’s lived with for a year, according to his post—came home from the office and brought up the restaurant she and her coworkers had gone to for lunch.
The OP, he noted, was confused, as he’d packed her a lunch.
