Kevin Spacey sued by actor over ‘sexual assault PTSD’ claim [Video]

Kevin Spacey is facing a civil trial over claims from a young actor that he was sexually assaulted by the Oscar winner after meeting him at the Old Vic theatre in London.

The man says Spacey, now 64, sexually assaulted him at his London apartment after he wrote to the star to ask for career tips.

Spacey, an Oscar winner for American Beauty and The Usual Suspects, was cleared of the allegation – and claims of sexual assault from three other men – at a criminal trial at Southwark crown court last July.

But the allegation could now be tested again in a High Court civil trial, as part of a compensation claim lodged by the man.

Spacey’s acting career was torpedoed in 2017 when he was first accused of sexual misconduct during the height of the #MeToo movement.
