Youth & Family Services to showcase programming at open house [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Youth and Family Services (YFS) hosted an open house July 25 for community members to get an inside look at the work they’re doing.

Since most of YFS’s programs are funded through donations, they wanted the community to be able to see how their support was helping children and families in the community.

YFS has a busy summer full of programs from Girls Inc to summer lunches.

”The summer has been good, it’s been very busy. Our Child Development Center and our Girls Inc program have been out. They’ve been doing lots with the kids out on field trips,” YFS Communications Coordinator Brianna Nelson said.

YFS is also gearing up for their head start program in the fall, which provides preschool programming to low-income children.
