Woman Sets Up Bird Feeder And Attracts An Extremely Rare Visitor [Video]

When Amanda Refalo set up a bird feeder outside her Connecticut home two years ago, she was hoping to entertain her indoor cats. She didn’t realize that the increased bird traffic would attract someone quite rare to her yard.

“I usually see lots of woodpeckers, cat birds, mourning doves, male and female cardinals, blue jays, finches and occasionally a bright yellow finch,” Refalo told The Dodo. “I leave bird seed and suet out year-round for my cats to watch while I work from home.”

A few weeks ago, Refalo looked up to see a strange bird at her feeder. The top of the bird was bright white — including the beak — as if she’d been dipped in flour.

“I was working and I looked out my window and saw an all-white bird,” Refalo said. “I took a photo and thought nothing of it. It wasn’t until the third day in a row and unsuccessful …
