The Victorian government has resisted calls to follow New South Wales and order public servants back into the office for the whole working week.
State jobs minister Natalie Hutchins said the government intends to keep it public servants in the office for a minimum of three days.
“We know that this offers an opportunity for working families to get a work-life balance,” she said.
“We’ve seen a continuation of very good output across our public service as we continue to do this.
“We know and we’ve heard… that this is a positive thing for maintaining women with families and care responsibilities in our public sector.”
The Allan government said NSW employees who don’t like the new arrangement should consider moving to Victoria instead.
