From being able to completely focus on tasks that require a lot of concentration to skipping the grind of a daily commute (and spending that time and money doing something infinitely more enjoyable), there are many reasons why so many Americans took to remote work during the pandemic.

Despite the opening of cities and office spaces, many workers still prefer remote work to the traditional in-office setting.
