MY LOOK IS ALTERNATIVE: No, it does not mean you can’t continue to pursue other job opportunities. Some businesses have different dress codes from others, for various reasons.

Whatever industry you tried to apply for and were turned down in, I suggest you go out and apply at three more similar businesses just to see if one or more of them might be willing to offer you a job.
