More than half of people would turn down a new job if it did not offer hybrid working, a new survey shows.

And almost 40% said that flexible and remote working provides a better work-life balance and increased job satisfaction, the latest CPL Salary Guide reveals.

Barry Winkless, chief strategy officer at recruitment firm CPL Group and head of the Future of Work Institute, said: “We see from this data that the hybrid working model is here to stay.

“Hybrid working provides a major opportunity for talent and employers to come together in a blended working model.

“These models give employees more independence, while also providing employers with a wider talent pool from which to source candidates with niche skillsets.”

The CPL report found that 66% of those surveyed currently avail of hybrid-working – a mix of being based in the workplace and at home – and 60% of people would reject a new job if it did not offer it.
