HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) – As evacuees from Florida find refuge here in Alabama, WBRC spoke to some families about how they’re holding up after that devastating storm.
Eunice and Michael Green traveled from Perry, Florida to Hoover in their RV.
They said this hasn’t been easy for them, leaving behind their home, jobs and community, but they say they are grateful to have found a safe place to stay at Hoover RV Park.
“We definitely feel very fortunate because of where we come from is a very poverty stricken area, there are so many people worse off, I just can’t complain,” Eunice Green said.
This isn’t the first hurricane the Green’s have experienced, but they said this one felt different and they didn’t want to take any chances.
