TYLER, Texas — On Christmas Eve, a small group of hands put in work with Hiway 80 Rescue Mission in Tyler to provide a meal to those in need.

Hiway 80 Rescue Mission Tyler Program Manager Trey Pettyjohn said there’s a lot of people in East Texas that need to be served.
“People need housing, people need clothes, people need food, people need the love of God,” Pettyjohn said. “If God wills it for us to be able to do this, this is what we’re doing. It doesn’t matter if we’re taking the day off or not.”
