The Cornerstone Rescue Mission, founded in 1982, began as a humble soup kitchen with the goal of providing meals to those in need. Over the decades, it has grown significantly to become a multi-faceted organization offering various forms of assistance to people experiencing homelessness.
Today, the mission’s operations include several locations, with its downtown men’s mission serving as the heart of its work.
Comprehensive Services for Those in Need
At the downtown location, Cornerstone provides essential services including three meals a day—breakfast, lunch and dinner—to all of its guests. The facility is a refuge for individuals who have nowhere else to go, offering not only sustenance but also a safe and dignified environment.
Guests have access to case managers who help them seek employment and regain their footing in the community. Many who arrive at the mission come from diverse backgrounds, some having led professional careers before falling on hard times.
