BBB warns of new job seeker scams [Video]

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – The Better Business Bureau is warning Nebraskans of new scams that target those seeking jobs.

The warning stems from a BBB investigation into FFL Shipping, previously known as First Lane Logistics US LLC and FL Ship.

“Individuals have reported being recruited for work-from-home package handling positions that required receiving, repacking and sending parcels to various locations,” a press release read. “Only to receive no payment.”

The bureau decided to investigate this organization after receiving over 1,300 inquiries.

The BBB recommended that people research job offers received, search the business on the internet to make sure it is legitimate and reminded exercising caution when sharing personal information.

The organization also warned that work from home jobs that involve receiving and reshipping packages are likely scams, and to be cautious of jobs that involve receiving and forwarding money.
