A techie whose company revoked the work from home policy narrated their ordeal on r/antiwork subreddit on how they dealt with the situation. A screenshot of the post was shared on X/Twitter by a Twitterati. The boss directed the staff to work from the office even during a snowstorm. The techie lamented that despite being in IT and all their jobs remote, the company wanted them in the office premises. Hence, the irate employee deleted the official communication app Teams from their phone. They also deleted office mail from the device, thus incommunicado to any official communication at home after working hours spent in the office. The employee further adds that once the boss tried to reach out for some urgent work at night, he was inaccessible. At the office, when questioned, the employee nonchalantly explained why.
