Homemade Pizza, How to Make Good Dough [Video]

Pizza is one of my favorite foods to make and a homemade version can be made fairly quick with a little time and effort. It’s a family favorite and it only requires a few ingredients and some basic skill.Try this easy recipe and you’ll become a pizza expert in no time.Pizza Dough freezes well and it’s great to make some ahead. If time permits, you can make 4 medium sized pizzas and leave it as ready made quick snacks, and school and work lunches. Or you can freeze ready made pizza slices for a quick meal that’s easy to warm up in a microwave or oven.Pizza dough Recipe:Makes 4 x 450g balls8 cups AP Flour1 tbspn dry yeast4 cups + 1 cup, Luke warm water3 tbspn olive oil1/2 tbspn sea salt 1 tbspn sugarMix 1 cup water with sugar and yeast. Mix well until the yeast is dissolved.Add flour to a mixer and turn on to low. Add salt, and oil. Add yeast water mixture and mix well. Slowly add 4 cups of lukewarm water. If the dough is too sticky, add 1 tbspn of flour at a time until it’s slightly sticky but pulls away from the sides.Add flour to an oven proof bowl. Remove dough from mixer and add to bowl. Cover with a tea towel. Turn your oven on to about 80F. Add bowl with dough and let it proof until it’s slightly more then double in size. I like to leave it for about 20 min with the oven on and then turn the oven off and let the residual heat provide the necessary warmth.Remove from the oven, gently turn it out onto a floured work surface and gently work the dough. Divide into 4 balls. Cover and begin working with each dough ball.Use either your hands or a rolling pin to work the dough into 12″ circle. Drizzle additional olive oil (about a Tablespoon) over the top of the pizza and use your pastry brush to brush the entire surface of the pizza (including the crust) with olive oil. Add tomato sauce and your favorite toppings.Bake in 400F oven for 15-20 min or until toppings are golden brown. Slice and serve.

This wonderful recipe for homemade hand pies with a yummy savoury egg rice filling is an amazing way to use up any leftover eggs and rice and yields a filling dish for packing for lunch or enjoying over dinner. Baking these D-shaped hand pies with crimped edges is so enjoyable, what a nice treat in the fall season! These are yummy, warm, cozy, irresistible vegetarian hand pies where all the ingredients are meant to be combined with each other. And you know, we love quick and easy delicious vegetarian recipes. This is a deep fried hand pie recipe where each hand pie is buttery, flaky, nutritious, and so sturdy to pack for lunch. They are a great example of comfort food that appeals to pretty much everyone. We used buttermilk dough and that makes each pocket pie soft, fluffy and super delicious. It is another great buttermilk recipe in our collection :). This hand recipe is probably the easiest and the quickest one you can find. Because we used no yeast dough, there is no rising and kneading time involved. And although these are fried hand pies, they don’t absorb much oil due to the buttermilk in them. The hand pies dough is also great to work with, it results in a crispy golden crust and the crimped edges remain sealed when frying. We think these are really nice mini pies that can perfectly fit in your hands, no wonder they are known as hand pies:). You could also customize your hand pie fillings. All in all, there is a lot of room for great hand pie filling ideas if you like making hand pies from scratch. ✅ How to make homemade jam hand pies: https://youtu.be/AvdztlUv6t0✅ Delicious low-fat vegan pasties recipe with mashed potatoes: https://youtu.be/YXoXPweV7h4🍰 For more baked goods recipes check out: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL73gXqa7cEjLWT4zOa9APbZVcQpKaBXKaIngredients:Dough:1 egg1/2 tsp salt2 tsp sugar4/5 cup (200 ml) kefir (or buttermilk)1/2 tsp baking soda2 1/3 (350 g) all-purpose flour 2 tbsp vegetable oilFilling:250 g / 0.55 lbs cooked rice5 hard boiled eggs 1 onionDill and parsley (Use any herbs of choice)We made 16 hand piesWe enjoy cooking and baking and creating new recipes and would love for you to join us on our journey.  Subscribe to our channel, and please give a thumbs up if you enjoyed our videos and post your comments.
