Papillion resident and cottage baker Nancy Valenzuela has a lot of tricks up her sleeve.
Including the kind of Trix you find in a cereal box.
A few months ago, she started experimenting with Rice Krispie treats, traditionally made with only three ingredients: butter, marshmallows (or marshmallow creme, as a shortcut) and the toasted Kellogg’s breakfast food.
She came up with some doozies. Including Banana Pudding, made with dried fruit chips, boxed pudding mix (no milk added), vanilla wafers and a drizzle on top; and Fruity Flintstones, using fruit-flavored marshmallows and Fruity Pebbles instead of Rice Krispies.
So far, she has 23 varieties — and a new gig she hopes will last for a while.
