Missouri Job Center in Springfield to soon open doors at new location [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Missouri Job Center spent its final day on E. Sunshine Street Friday before moving closer to the center of town.

Starting Tuesday, they’ll be at 1660 North Campbell Avenue. The new site gives them more room for meeting spaces, computer labs for workshops, and a career closet with job interview clothing, all free of charge.

”This is a much more convenient location for the clients that we serve. We have clients that sometimes ride the bus and this is a much shorter bus ride for those individuals to reach us,” said Katherine Proctor with the Missouri Job Center.

The main parking lot at the new location is not currently ADA-compliant. They have free ADA parking across the street. It’s at the corner of Pacific and Boonville.

There’s also a temporary entrance on that side of the building. The Job Center hopes to have the main entrance and main parking lot updated and open …
