Pittsburgh has a new sports reporter/anchor on television.
Ashley Liotus is the newest on-air talent at WTAE-TV, joining sports director Andrew Stockey.
You may have seen Liotus freelancing for WTAE over the past two years, but will now be seen more regularly on television.
A South Hills native, Liotus graduated from Baldwin High School before graduating from Penn State with a degree in broadcast journalism.
“I could not be more excited about signing on full-time with WTAE,” Liotus told KDKA Radio. “I interned at the station during my time at Penn State and it has been my goal to get back ever since. I grew up watching Pittsburgh teams and to finally cover them as a reporter is truly a dream come true.”
Liotus worked as a reporter in Savannah, Georgia prior to returning to Pittsburgh.
Along with her freelance work, Liotus was the pre-and-post-game producer for Pirates and Penguins coverage for SportsNet Pittsburgh.
