A California man has shared the unusual reason he abandoned a job interview before it even began.
Reddit user el_lobo_cimarron, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed how his interviewer for a cold calling job he had applied for contacted him with an unusual request.
“[The] interviewer asked me to bring him coffee as a personal favor to him for putting in a good word for me,” he told Newsweek. “He is a complete stranger to me and he was not joking.”
Stunned by the interviewer’s request for a Starbucks, he even explained that he made special requests, asking for it “cold, medium size, no sugar.”
The Redditor wasn’t impressed with the idea though and decided not to go through with the interview at all.
“I did not go to the interview and sent an email to his boss explaining what happened and that I lost interest in the position,” he said.
