KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City area teddy bears have started to be readied for the annual Teddy Bear Picnic in Swope Park.
Kansas City, Missouri, Parks and Recreation says it has teamed up with the Kansas City Zoo to host the 2024 Teddy Bear Picnic in Swope Park, 4177 Pavilion Rd.
Parks officials said those who attend are in for a big surprise. Residents have been asked to grab their picnic blankets, teddy bears and a homemade lunch for an afternoon of fun.
In 2024, officials indicated that the event will include a Teddy Bear Health Clinic, a story time with the Kansas City Public Library, face painting, games and more. Each child will also be given a free scoop of ice cream.
KC Parks noted that the picnic will be held between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12, near the Swope Park Bandstand.
