Bryan overwhelms rival Temple in 12-6A opener [Video]

If Bryan girls basketball head coach Treasure Jackson needed a side hustle, motivational speaker would definitely be in the cards after Bryan’s 62-33 win over rival Temple to open District 12-6A play at Viking Gym on Tuesday.

“I told the girls we just looked different tonight,” Jackson said. “We had a talk with them before the game [that] we need everyone to give their 100% on the floor at all times and they did that. I really believe that we did that as a team.”

So, was the speech the reason for the team looking different?

“Maybe so,” the first-year head coach joked. “I think we had a pretty good talk as a team. They pitched in and we pitched in right back at them. It really was a group effort from coaches and players both.”
