Smaller firms now leading on remote hiring in Ireland – LinkedIn [Video]

Ireland ranks second in Europe for the proportion of job listings offering hybrid and remote working arrangements, new data from LinkedIn shows.

Ireland was behind only the UK in terms of hiring of employees in hybrid or remote roles in October, and Irish firms with fewer than 250 staff are more inclined to recruit workers in remote positions, with 12.6% of hires by such firms in the 12 months to July 2024 working remotely.

A year earlier, in the 12 months to July 2023, firms with more than 5,000 staff accounted for a higher proportion of remote roles (13.9%), but the share of roles advertised by larger enterprises that offer remote work has fallen by almost a fifth to 11.9%.
