18th annual Five Seasons Stand Down kicking off at Veterans Memorial Stadium [Video]

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – It’s a day of free meals opportunities and helping hands, the 18th annual Five Seasons Stand Down is coming to Veterans Memorial Stadium Thursday.

The Five Seasons Stand Down was originally for homeless veterans, but has since become a one-stop-shop, open for anybody who needs help.

There are going to be up to 80 different vendors on site including food banks, veterans services and unemployment offices. They include a variety of resources, from food to free haircuts; whatever a person may need to get back on their feet and prepared for a job interview.

“They come back and thank us, they may have found a job or an interview or something else about themselves,” David Schiel, president of the Five Seasons Stand Down, said.

Last year more than 140 people came to the event. Schiel is happy to help people, regardless of what they come …

What happens in a CIA job interview? Its not what you expect | News [Video]

A former CIA analyst has lifted the lid on what goes on during the intelligence agencys job interviews including the bizarre first question they asked him. David McCloskey worked in field stations across the Middle East during the Arab Spring and in the Counterterrorism Center, where he focused on jihadist activities in Syria and Iraq. He has joined Gordon Corera, a journalist who has covered national security issues for more than 25 years including two decades as a Security Correspondent for BBC News, to host Goalhangers new The Rest is Classified podcast exploring the secretive world of espionage.
