90s wrestling icon swaps WWE life for shocking and profound new career [Video]

Eric Bischoff has swapped the world of wrestling for ‘cold calling’ in a surprising career change.

The former professional wrestling promoter, 69, is best known for his time running World Championship Wrestling (WCW) before joining WWE as an on-screen character in 2002 after the latter bought out its rival.

While he still dips his toe into sports entertainment through his 83 Weeks on Conrad Thompson’s podcast network, Eric has joined his friend in the world of mortgages.

For the past three years, the outspoken figure has been licensed as a mortgage loan officer through his pal’s Save With Conrad company.

‘Similarly to the way I got involved in the wrestling business, it was very much a coincidence,’ he told Sports Illustrated.

‘After spending 25 years on the road, I made up my mind that I wanted to spend more time at home. Getting into the mortgage industry also allows me to help people, and I don’t have to travel far to do it.’
